I am a colleague of Rod’s and … it is so refreshing to find another massage therapist who provides such amazing detailed work. If you appreciate deep tissue work … Rod can provide the kind of attention you’re looking for… don’t! He’s a marvelous massage therapist!

I’ve had many massage in my life, by many massage therapists. I see an osteopath, an acupuncturist, a kinesiologist and a personal trainer. I am very physically defined as one of my jobs is being an underwear model (as well as a development director for an easthetic surgery clinic group). I have a problem with my cervical vertebra C2, so much so that my right index finger and thumb become tingly and numb. Rod healed me as if all the specialists I see regularly took care of me at the same time.

He has a clear understanding of the body and it’s constitution. He works the muscles, the tendons as well as the bones. He is very strong. I like it hard, and never did I have to tell him to go deeper. He knows when to press, how to press, and when to give more of a flat pressure. He also listened to my preferences and adapted his massage accordingly.

I am very impress, but also simply grateful for the wonderful treatment I had yesterday in Burlington. I will go see him again. The price was right.

One of the best massages I’ve ever had. Honestly. I’ve known and loved Rod for years – he is truly a master of the art of touch. You will love him too. Kind and gentle – but strong enough to get out those knots. A pleasure all around.

It is my pleasure to provide this review of Rod Cain of Rod Cain Massage. As someone who receives a lot of massages, who teaches in a massage therapy training program, and who hires practitioners for our holistic wellness center, I am always on the lookout for high-quality, well-trained and experienced massage therapists. Rod’s massage experience is exceptional; from the time I entered his office (which is beautifully decorated with soothing lighting and music), I felt comfortable. His personal style is such that you recognize his professionalism while also feeling that he really cares about his clients and enjoys the work. He takes great effort to create an atmosphere of safety and relaxation. I personally received a deep tissue/sports massage and was impressed with his depth control and precision. Rod clearly knows what he is doing, and has the strength to provide a consistent deep tissue experience. During the massage he checked in with my comfort level often, and adjusted his pressure for my personal needs. At the end of the massage, I did not want it to end! I felt great–and the therapeutic effects lasted for a long time after the session. I would not hesitate to return to Rod, and I would recommend his outstanding, professional services to anyone.

I carry stress in my neck a lot, to the point where sometimes after a stressful week I can barely turn my head. It’s a huge pain in the, ahem, neck. Rod is the ONLY massage practitioner who has been able to improve the situation in a lasting way – I’ve been looking for years! I go every couple of weeks and come out walking on a cloud.

He has a very versatile touch, with a lot of strength when it is needed but the capacity for a light, very soothing massage. He also listens very carefully to your needs, and is responsive to the unspoken dynamic as the massage progresses.

Essentially, I would unreservedly recommend Rod as the best masseur in the BTV area – he’s truly excellent!
